F.A.Q.

  • "When is your next store update?"

No need to wait for a store update anymore! I’ve transitioned to made-to-order model on the website, so as long as you’re willing to wait a few weeks for me to make it, you can order anything you like!

  • "Do you offer wholesale prices?"

Absolutely. Tell me a little about your business and what you’re looking for via the contact form below. Let's get the ball rolling!

  • "Are your pots dishwasher/microwave/freezer/food safe?"

    Yes.

  • "Will you make this thing I saw on instagram/pinterest/etc.?"

Probably not unless it's pretty similar to another form that I've already worked out. It just takes too much time to figure out a new form for a one-off piece. That being said, anything is possible, but it gets expensive.

  • "Do you make pots full time?"

Yes, since 2017. It always feels a little precarious, but so far so good.

  • "Do you teach classes?"

Not lately. I wouldn't be opposed to it if the right situation came along, but my home studio just isn’t set up for teaching.

  • "Where do you get your clay/materials?"

West Michigan Clay in Hamilton, Michigan. www.westmichiganclay.com

    Tell them I sent you.

  • If I buy a bunch of pots at once, do I get a price break?

Sorry, I do not offer bulk pricing.

  • "How long does it take to make one of those?"

There are so many steps in the process, it's hard to answer how long it really takes. If everything goes right, about two weeks, but most of that is passive: drying time, firing time, etc.

  • Where can I find your pots in stores?

    Poppy Things, Suttons Bay

    The Mitten Bar, Ludington

    Starving Artist Brewing Co., Ludington

  • "What's up with the free pottery table? When is the next one?"

I have really high standards for the work that I present for sale. I save all of the "seconds" pots to give away once or twice a year. They're still functional and pretty cool a lot of the time, they just aren't up to the standard. More than anything, I don't like the idea of smashing pieces that are functional because it's a big waste of materials and energy.
